據美國廣播公司報道，自俄羅斯對烏克蘭采取特別軍事行動以來，波蘭成為了被戰爭影響的烏克蘭平民逃往的其中一個方向。但有波蘭城市的官員表示，波蘭接納難民的能力是有上限的，無法持續承受大量難民的湧入。
其中，在靠近烏克蘭和波蘭邊境的波蘭城市熱舒夫（Rzeszow），當地市長菲約萊克（Konrad Fijolek）就表示，波蘭能接納150萬難民，但如果從烏克蘭而來難民超過這個數字，波蘭就將捉襟見肘，而且難民的湧入也已經給波蘭本地的民眾造成的生活和心態上的影響。「如果還有上百萬人要來，那我們就無法應對了」，他說。
